Setting up Swifty & Installing the modpack
Setting up the repository
FPARMA is using several mods that adds new content and enhances the gameplay. The size is quite large so be sure to download it in time and test it out!

If you're having issues with ACRE (radios), try running TS3 and A3 as admin.

Installation
Here is a VERY WIP video with all the stuff below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5WAwSp2zF4

We are using Swifty as our repo downloader. Swifty is a simplistic modpack manager aimed to be a solution for communities hosting their own modpacks.

Swifty can be downloaded via this URL: https://getswifty.net/download.html

Download the installer and open Swifty, Click the "+" located at the top to add a new repo.

We are using a modular modpack system. The main repo will be used on Sundays and is all you need if that's your only interested in playing the main ops.
If you are interested in playing other days of the week, then there is a chance the server will be on the blended repo.
Note that if you choose to have more of the repos other than main, put them in the same folder (in swifty config when you add the repos)! or you'll just waste space.

The URL to the MAIN repo which will be used on Sundays is
http://main-repo.fparma.com/

The URL to the BLENDED repo which will be used for random content during weekdays, etc
http://blended-repo.fparma.com/

The URL to the CORE repo which will very rarely be used outside of mission making and bug testing:
http://core-repo.fparma.com/

After that Swifty should take care of the rest.

Allowed Clientside Addons
Clientside Addons are now handled through Swifty, Check the optional addons tab on the repo to enable/disable additional addons

Troubleshooting Swifty problems
Check that you're running the most current version
You can check this by opening Swifty and then clicking on the wrench icon on the top right. The version should be on the bottom left of the popup box.

Finding the Log File
The Logfile can be found under the following path:

%APPDATA%\Swifty\Swifty.log

This path can be typed into your windows explorer (explorer.exe) in the address bar and then type enter. The text file should now open with the log entries inside.

Clearing the Swifty cache
# Close Swifty
# Navigate to "%APPDATA%\Swifty" (See right-side image)
# Delete the folders "Cache" and "Temp"
# Check for Updates

Swifty says "Failed to download files"
Sometimes Swifty has a hard time downloading files, you may have to delete the folders it's updating and fully re-download those folders.

"I get kicked from the server for missing files"
# Make sure you are using the launch/join option on Swifty
# Verify that the location in which you have told Swifty that Arma is, is correct

Check that you're running the most current version
You can check this by opening Swifty and then clicking on the wrench icon on the top right. The version should be on the bottom left of the popup box.

Communication and You
Communication is a vital part of the Arma experience, if you don't have a microphone you can still play, but having one is extremely recommended, Either way you still need to hop on Teamspeak so you can hear others.

Local
Local talk is used to talk to those directly around you, this is bound to your Teamspeak Push-To-Talk key. Using the default Tab key you can modify the range at which your voice is heard. Lower ranges are recommended for stealth mission where you only want people directly next to you to hear you. Higher ranges are not recommended.

Radios
Radios are used to communicate with your squad and with other squads, they are the best way for command to give orders to your Squad Leader. Radios are useful for sending vital information to people who are out of local talk range.

How they work and Channels
Talking through radio is done by using the Alt + Capslock or Shift + Capslock Each of these will trigger a different one of your radios.
Each radio has it's own Channel, You will be on a specific channel based on your squad.
Radios have a couple limits, the biggest one being range, each radio is designed to work at a specific range.
Red = Volume | Blue = Channel Select

If it is your first time using ACRE, run Arma 3 with the modpack loaded before launching Teamspeak. Swifty should automatically install the plugin.
If you forgot to do this, just close out of both and do the above.

"People can't hear me/ I can hear everyone at the same time"
# Run both Arma 3 and Teamspeak 3 as admin
# Make sure you have the ACRE Plugin installed. go to options → extensions and check to see if ACRE is there and it is enabled.
# Make sure you are running the latest version of Teamspeak and ACRE Plugin (You can check what versions other people are running by clicking on their name, their version should match yours)

We also allow the below client-side addons. (List Updated May 7th, 2018)
* Ares Mod - Achilles Expansion
* JSRS SOUNDMOD - NIArms (Special FPArma Edited Version by Diwako)

Troubleshooting Swifty problems
Check that you're running the most current version
You can check this by opening Swifty and then clicking on the wrench icon on the top right. The version should be on the bottom left of the popup box.

Finding the Log File
The Logfile can be found under the following path:

%APPDATA%\Swifty\Swifty.log

This path can be typed into your windows explorer (explorer.exe) in the address bar and then type enter. The text file should now open with the log entries inside.

Clearing the Swifty cache
# Close Swifty
# Navigate to "%APPDATA%\Swifty" (See right-side image)
# Delete the folders "Cache" and "Temp"
# Start Swifty
# Check for Updates

Swifty says "Failed to download files"
Sometimes Swifty has a hard time downloading files, you may have to delete the folders it's updating and fully re-download those folders.

"I get kicked from the server for missing files"
# Make sure you are using the launch/join option on Swifty
# Verify that the location in which you have told Swifty that Arma is, is correct

Check that you're running the most current version
You can check this by opening Swifty and then clicking on the wrench icon on the top right. The version should be on the bottom left of the popup box.

The Logfile can be found under the following path:

Setting up Swifty & Installing the modpack
Setting up the repository
FPARMA is using several mods that adds new content and enhances the gameplay. The size is quite large so be sure to download it in time and test it out!

If you're having issues with ACRE (radios), try running TS3 and A3 as admin.

Installation
